I recognise Nicole Gapps for her compassion and dedication to vulnerable animals across the Eurobodalla.

Nicole has devoted years to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming abandoned, injured and neglected cats, kittens and dogs. Through her efforts, she has provided hundreds of animals with safety, medical care, nourishment and, a second chance at life.

Nicole served as the Cat Welfare Officer with Animal Welfare League NSW Eurobodalla, where her knowledge, commitment and willingness to support fellow volunteers earned her respect within the animal welfare community. Nicole continues to care for animals in need, often opening her home to those with nowhere else to go.

Nicole frequently meets the cost of veterinary treatment and provides care for vulnerable kittens, feeding them day and night. Nicole’s work requires extraordinary patience, resilience and compassion.

Nicole shares her knowledge with new carers, mentors fellow volunteers, and works closely with local rangers, veterinarians and foster networks to achieve the best possible outcomes. Her willingness to support others has helped strengthen animal rescue efforts across the Eurobodalla.

I sincerely thank Nicole for her generosity, compassion, and service to our community. Her dedication is an inspiration, and our region is a better place because of her work.
