As the Member for Bega, I thank Mr Bob and Mrs Barbara Westmacott for their dedicated contribution to the Eden community. Mr Bob Westmacott is 92 years of age and Mrs Barbara Westmacott is 83 years of age. Despite their years, they continue to give generously of their time and energy, exemplifying the true spirit of volunteerism. Mr and Mrs Westmacott have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to volunteering within our community over many decades. They have been dedicated volunteers with Eden Cruise for more than 10 years, consistently contributing their time and experience to support visitors and the local tourism sector. Prior to this, they served as regional coordinators for exchange students for over 30 years, providing invaluable guidance and support to countless young people and host families. Their long-standing involvement reflects their deep commitment to fostering cultural exchange and community connection. They also remain actively involved with the Bega Littleton Group, continuing to support local initiatives and community engagement. Mr and Mrs Westmacott also volunteered at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.
