James “Jimmy” Reynolds is an outstanding ambassador for the Far South Coast whose achievements in para lawn bowls have brought pride to the Bega electorate and to Australia.

Growing up in Pambula and attending Pambula Public School, Jimmy was encouraged to try lawn bowls at 14.

Within 12 months of taking up competitive para bowls, he won NSW, Australian and World Para Singles and Pairs titles, then made his Commonwealth Games debut in Manchester in 2002, earning bronze for Australia.

After building a successful career in information technology, Jimmy returned to the sport. He has since won multiple national titles, World Bowls Championship gold in 2023, two gold medals at the 2025 World Cup, where he was named Player of the Tournament, and the 2026 Australian Institute of Sport International Male Para Bowler of the Year award.

Most recently, Jimmy and teammate Damien Delgado achieved Commonwealth Games glory, defeating New Zealand to win gold in the Para Men’s Pairs.

Jimmy Reynolds’ journey is one of resilience, perseverance and excellence. His success continues to inspire young athletes across our region.
